The Indian Homoeopathic Medical League (IHML) is a prominent organization representing Homoeopathic doctors in India and a foremost Homoeopathic organization in Tamil Nadu. Senior, Eminent and Enthusiastic Doctors of Tamil Nadu decided to start an organization for the Homoeopathic Doctors to create a safe and inclusive environment where all doctors feel their rights are respected, which will ultimately lead to a stronger and more successful career and formed IHML in 2011.
Thus IHML boasts a rich history of advocating for the advancement and recognition of homoeopathy in the Indian healthcare system. First accredited Homoeopathic Association of Tamil Nadu “Qualified Homoeopathic Doctors Association” was established in 1988. Seeds for the Association were started by the Dr.G.Srinivasan from Madurai, who had initiated the activities in the earlier stage.
Dr.S.P.Koppikar (A Doyen in Homoeopathy) served as President, Dr.K.M.H.Akbarsha as Secretary, and Dr.P.V.Venkatraman as Treasurer. This organization latter transformed as ‘Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic Doctors Association’ in 1996. Dr.N.Subramanian (Founder and Former Principal, HHMC&RC), Dr.R.Gnanasambandam (Former President, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council) and other senior doctors later established ‘The Indian Homoeopathic Medical League (IHML)’.
Mission
To advance the science and art of Homoeopathy by advocating for its acceptance, supporting practitioners, enhancing public awareness, and contributing to the development of homoeopathic education, research, and clinical excellence across India. IHML aims to ensure the rights and professional growth of its members while promoting the efficacy and benefits of Homoeopathy in holistic healthcare.

To be the leading organization driving the integration of Homoeopathy into mainstream healthcare by fostering innovation, advancing scientific research, and nurturing a well-informed community of practitioners and patients. IHML envisions a future where Homoeopathy is globally recognized as a safe, effective, and scientific medical system for holistic health and well-being.
